Sodbury Cycle-Sport 2010 TT Series

SCS will be running a new series of evening TTs during 2010 under the auspices of the West DC of the CTT.

The series is scheduled to run throughout the Spring and Summer on Tuesday evenings every four weeks. The dates for your diary are:

• 20th April
• 18th May
• 15th June
• 13th July
• 10th August
• 24th August
  
• 7th September - Last round cancelled
  

Race HQ is the car park of the Cross Hands pub on the A46 at the Old Sodbury junction.

Entry is "on the line". The entry fee for senior members is £2.00 (additional £1.00 for series membership for non-club members), and £1.00 for juniors and juveniles.  Riders under 18 must provide a signed parental consent form.

The first rider is off at 19:00.

The new course (UC108) starts a short way from the HQ up the B4040 towards Acton Turville at the top of the hill at the large lay-by just after the houses (ST767811).  Follow the B4040 to Acton Turville (2.52 miles, 4.06 km).  Bear right at this first junction (this will be marshalled), but left at the second junction (2.82 miles, 4.54km) into Acton Turville. Continue to Badminton (4.19 miles, 6.74 km).  Turn left to Little Badminton (5.31 miles, 8.54 km).  Bear left and continue to the A46 (6.90 miles, 11.09 km) (CAUTION: T-junction, this will be marshalled).  Turn left and continue along the A46 until the farm track opposite the petrol station (9.81 miles, 15.79 km) (ST763822).

Please note that the course has changed from the prototype originally published here, to avoid a dangerous T-junction in Acton Turville.  Our apologies for that.

No U-turning at the finish, please - all results will be given at HQ ASAP.
