24th September
A high quality field contested the Stourbridge Velo LVRC 60+ road race held over 3.5 laps of a tough 10ml circuit between Stourbridge and Bridgnorth, and Terry Gradidge was amongst them.

On the second ascent of the long climb on the circuit, a group of about ten riders went clear, with Terry just failing to stay with them.  He completed the race in a small chasing group before riding clear of his companions on the final ascent to the finish for about 11th place.

The race was won by the current 60-64 age-group national champion, Alan Kemp (Weaver Valley CC) who rode away from the leading group to finish alone.

17th September
Terry Gradidge up to 6th in the MSTina SE England LVRC road race series.

Riding in the Sigma Sport Autumn Amble near Virginia Water in Surrey, he finished 11th overall in the 30ml race for competitors aged 55+, and 4th in his 60-64 age category.

Three riders broke clear midway through the race, with a further guy clipping off the front of the bunch at the start of the final 3ml lap, despite the rapid pace for much of the race.  These four riders stayed clear to the finish, with Malcolm Whitehead (Kingsnorth International) taking the victory.  The minor placings were contested in a bunch sprint.

The points gained for this result has lifted Terry into 6th place overall in his age category in this season-long series with the final race to come in a fortnight's time.
